First week down...

Alright! I just completed my first week of classes at Trinity/CanIL. So far my grades are okay, but not where I'd like them to be. That just means that I need to find more time to study harder. I had a dictation test that went okay, a mimicry test that went quite well, and so far my homework has all been fine. Dictation is definitely the hardest part of the phonetics class in my opinion.

This weekend I will be writing a paper for the Language and Society class discussing multilingualism in America. I can't say much more because I haven't done much reading on this subject yet. We'll see how it goes.

I'll try to post some pictures soon. I've gotten some nice ones. The scenery around here is beautiful. I can see the mountains from the campus and there is a slough here on campus with a great hiking trail around it. There are enough trees along the trail that you can pretend you are out and away from everything, so I enjoy that.
