The Lord's Faithfulness

It's been a long time since I updated. Wow! Actually, a lot has happened between August 10th and now. A lot of exciting things.

Most of these "exciting things" have to do with the fact that the Lord has led James Post and I into a dating/courting relationship for the purpose of seeing if He would have us marry. It has been great to have his parents and mine involved in our relationship, praying for us, and counseling us. We are both encouraged by the prayers, support, and counsel of those close to us.

James is working on his MA degree in linguistics and exegesis at the Canada Institute of Linguistics near Vancouver, BC. He is a strong Christian man and desires to glorify the Lord with his life. He is preparing to be a Bible translator and plans to join Wycliffe and be a missionary overseas. He loves the Lord and His Word and has a heart that reflects God's love for all people. He is passionate about the truth of God's Word and eager to share and encourage others in the Lord.

It has been a joy to see the Lord working in our relationship. What an amazing time in our lives! God is so faithful and so good. Please pray with us that we will continue to be sensitive to His leading.

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous, or boastful, arrogant, or rude, it is not self-seeking or easily angered. Love does not hold grudges, or delight in evil. Rather, love rejoices in truth, and protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres (Gleanings from 1 Corinthians 13).

I am still working on finishing up my BA degree. I have a few more CLEP tests to do and maybe some DANTES tests. I am also working from home - I schedule sign language interpreters for deaf people.

That's an update on my life. Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. I've missed the "xanga" world, but have started using Facebook a lot more. You're officially invited to come be my friend on Facebook.
