MasterWorks
By Suzanne Farnell
Here are a few more pictures from my time at MasterWorks. Yes, I know, I've been home a week and I'm just now getting around to doing this. Sorry! I've been busy.
My Bible Study group: Eli, Rachel, Krista, Kaitlyn, Me. front row: Samantha, Jennifer, and Mikki
crazy cellist...
My roommate, Anna Maria
Wow! Someone managed to get a picture of me playing in the orchestra! I was in the back so wasn't very visible.
The Dicksons doing a village gig after one of the concerts.
Towards the end of the festival I found some dirt trails that go all over the place near the college. I spent four hours out there one Saturday afternoon...good food for dinner in my room that night! I walked right through dinner.
The next day I got several friends together and we all went on a walk together. It was a lot of fun.
After the walk some of us got ice cream. Yummy!!!
Ahh yes, the picture I took of Hannah and Leah without them noticing.
hehehe! This was at lunch during the faculty devotional.
My Bible study group again. We went to the coffee shop for our Bible study one night.
Haha, this picture will always bring back good memories. There was a huge thunder and lightning storm that night! Nothing like we would ever see out here on the west coast. And it was safe to be outside, at least that's what we were told....we were a little nervous though. So we were laying outside the girls dorm (yes, in the rain) watching the art show that God was putting on for us.
So much fun! In this picture you can see Ashley, Me, Courtney, McKenzie, another girl that I don't know, and Michelle. Ashley and I were feeling pretty good because we started this idea and 6 other girls joined us!
The theatre program did a production of The Crucible by Arthur Miller. It was very intense and rather stressful but very well done I thought. This is a picture of my friend Sarah. I had a front row seat and could have taken more pictures but I was worried about distracting the actors with my camera so I decided not to.
After the theatre performance my Bible Study had a party. It was so fun! We played a game, shared prayer requests, and just visited with each other. We were together until 1am!
Krista had NEVER had cake before because she's allergic to eggs! Jennifer made her an eggless cake and she got to taste her first piece of cake!
Me and my good friend Kaitlyn. She plays cello.
There we are again: Samantha, Rachel, Krista, Mikki, Me, and Kaitlyn
This is Leah. She's a violinist....but she was playing viola in the orchestra. This is her viola....don't worry, it was all a joke. hehe.
Ashley, Susanna, and I went out to breakfast last Friday morning. It was a lot of fun. We should have gone out to breakfast a few more times! Oh well.
Umm, Hannah should be playing the cello, Leah should be playing the viola.....
Brandon
Me and David during an intermission at one of the concerts.
The four of us, Daniel, Me, Kathryn, and Meghan, went on a walk one night.
Me with two of most halarious sisters you will ever meet: Hannah and Leah. They're so awesome!
Brian (viola) and Alyssa (violin), two very fun faculty members. They were my chamber music coaches. (Alyssa is my violin teacher's (Alana) sister.)
I got most of my work service hours in helping Ben with the ligthing in Rodeheaver for the Opera and Dance performances. It was A LOT of fun! Ben is great to work with. (wow, I really look short standing by him!!!)
Sarah! She was a very sweet friend to have around this year. She was in the theatre program.
Leah was an Orchestra intern so I got to do some work service with her too.
Samantha was in my Bible Study and she also won the concerto competition!
Kathryn
All of us from the wonderful Pacific Northwest!
I wanted to say WA but David is from OR. So in the back we have: Ashley, Benjamin, and Brandon. In the front: Me, David, and Daniel. It was so nice to make some friends I can hope to see before next year! The 6 of us hung out quite a bit. We made a lot of good memories together.And....sometimes I think we got to feeling like we knew each other a little too well.......hehe.
Nate...another of the orchestra interns. Also fun to work with.
Thoughtful of them to bring in such nice people for us work service students to work with.
hehe.
Annaka! She was one of my counselors and also became a good friend.
Kaelen, my dear theatre friend. She kept me up laughing so many nights! Her stories where great and our conversations were thought-provoking.
Goodbye Ashley!
Goodbye Dicksons! See you back in Washington! Why was it so hard to say goodbye to them when I knew I'd see them again?
Oh yes, this is a little out of order but this is a picture that Hannah took when she and I and Daley and Kaitlyn went out to lunch one Sunday afternoon.
Ok! That's it for the pictures folks! Hope you enjoyed! MasterWorks was such an amazing experience this year. It was life changing both musically and spiritually. Musically in that my teacher really helped me improve my sound quality, spiritually in that I was strongly inspired to dig into scripture and find the answers to all the questions I can't answer!
