Bacteria - Typically one-celled microorganisms which have no clorophyll, multiply and can only be seen through a microscope.

Clorophyll - A pigment which makes plant leaves turn green.

Glaciers - Large masses of ice in an area where the rate of snow falling is faster than the rate of snow melting.

Habitat - The native environment in which a certain plant or animal naturally grows or lives.

Herbicides - Any substance used to kill plants, especially weeds.
