Ziplock Bannock

E-Mail This Recipe

This bannock makes a great addition to any backpacking meal! Just add water, cook, and serve. In fact, if you use a large enough Ziplock, you can mix the ingredients right in the bag!

Combine in Ziploc bag and throw in backpack:
2 c whole wheat flour
2 T baking powder
1 t salt
1 c raisins

Backcountry preparation:
1. Combine dry ingredients (Ziploc contents) with approximately 2 C. water.
2. Fry like pancakes, or bake in heavy-duty aluminum foil beside your campfire. If you bake it in aluminum foil, be sure you leave room for the bread to rise!
