Cedar Lake Tamale Pie

Recipe for one serving. Multiply as needed.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 package teapot soups "Black Beans and Rice" or other instant chili
  • 1 t chili powder
  • 1/4 cup Just Corn-brand dried corn
  • 1/8 t garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • 1 t dried chopped olives

Instructions:
Place cornmeal in ziplock bag. Combine remaining ingredients in another ziplock bag.

Backcountry Preparation:
Boil 1.5 cups water, add all ingredients except cornmeal. Simmer for 5 or 10 minutes. Remove from heat, add cornmeal, and let sit for 10 minutes.
