Recipe Ingredients

At Home:
Cover a cookie sheet with food wrap, spread salsa and cabbage thinly over it, and place in 140 degree oven until dry. Flip over, remove food wrap, and continue drying until completely dry. Once dry, combine beans, dry salsa, and dry cabbage together in ziplock. Place packaged string cheese in same bag. Estimate amount of boiling water needed to hydrate and write on outside of bag. Carry tortillas separately.

Backcountry Preparation:
Boil estimated amount of water, stir in beans, dry salsa, and dry cabbage, cover and let sit for 10 minutes. Put beans on tortillas, top with cheese, fold up, and enjoy!
