Horse Thief Gorp
This trailmix works great for a quick snack while hiking, or even for the "main dish" of the mid-day meal. A lot of times we will have a granola bar and this trail mix for our lunch while we are backpacking.Suggested ingredients:
Raisins Dried apples Dried pears Dried apricots Prunes Dates Almonds Sunflower seeds Filberts Brazil nuts Carob chips (optional) Etc.Combine ingredients in Ziploc snack-size bags. As you can see, the list of optional ingredients can be very extensive! Why not vary the ingredients from batch to batch so you have a variety?
