When we heard that Mt. St. Helens was erupting again, Christina, Suzanne, and I hit the road (again) and headed for Davis Peak to take pictures. We had better luck than last Friday, and we did get pictures of the last part of the eruption. Mostly we got pictures of the steam blowing away towards Mt. Adams. Anyway, we'll try to keep our camera gear ready by the door in case there is a big eruption in the near future. It takes us about 20 minutes to get to the viewpoint from our house.

When we first got up to Davis Peak, the mountain was still spewing a little bit.

Notice all the steam blowing towards Mt. Adams and Trout Lake. Luckily there wasn't much ash this time.

Can't hardly see Mt. Adams anymore. I wonder if anyone watched the eruption from the top of Mt. Adams?
