September 15, 2005 - Matthew was given the opportunity to attend the 2005 Gospelcom Conference. Below are pictures of the facility (Westin O'Hare Hotel) and the event. Click here to read more about this event.

Me in my hotel room. I can't get wireless internet here - have to go down to the lobby to get online. (Update: I now can get wireless internet from my room. Yea!) Another view of my desk and laptop in my room. This is what they call the 'heavenly bed.' TV, which I don't use. Also on the right is a bottle of water you can drink for $4! Another view of my room.
Bathroom sink. Toilet and bathtub, for those who are interested... Meeting room area in the basement. Waterfall and flowers in the lobby area. The view from my room.
Everyone eating lunch. I guess there are around 150 people here maybe? Lunch buffet. PHP class taught by an expert from ZEND. This is in the Dinner's dessert.
Gospelcom gave out boxes of candy and nuts to everyone. Last year they only had candy, but this year they had plain nuts, too. Lunch buffet on Friday. We had baby lettuce, potato salad, chicken or beef sandwiches with lots of different toppings, and soup. Whats left of the desserts. I got mine earlier, but didn't get a picture until they were almost gone. A close-up of one of the desserts. One of the sessions.
Dinner of salmon, rice, and vegetables (yellow and green squash and peppers.) This was after salad and dinner rolls. Fancy ice cream dessert after dinner. They had free ice cream bars during our afternoon breaks, so this is the third time I've had ice cream today. Everyone laughed at me when I took this picture. I guess I am kind of weird...taking pictures of my food... A night shot from my window. Another night shot. Beginning CSS class taught by Joel Boonstra of the Agathon Group.
