This trip started out with the goal of getting a group discount, but our group dwindled significantly because of the bad weather forecast. The prediction was for high winds and snow, which is usually pretty miserable skiing weather. Eight of us ended up going night skiing anyway: Charlie, Matthew, Christina, Suzanne, Anna, Ben, Nathan, and Justin. We arrived at Mt. Hood Meadows to find the wind blowing fiercely, and the parking lot almost empty! We soon found out the lifts were being shut down because of the bad conditions, but might open later. We decided to head back down to Ski Bowl to see if the conditions were any better. After driving through white outs, hitting the snow bank on the side of the road, doing a 180 spin, and taking the wrong turn, we finally arrived at Ski Bowl. The weather improved greatly, and we had a beautiful evening skiing and snowboarding. The snow was great, and the wind died down enough that I wasn't even using my goggles part of the time. This was our first time at Ski Bowl, and it was very enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to next time! Sorry, once again I didn't take very many pictures - I'm going to have to work on that.
