'Opaeka'a Falls - Photo by Matthew The Wailua River - The famous Fern Grotto, where lots of weddings take place, is located up this river. - Photo by Matthew Spouting Horn - Waves crash in under the rocks and shoot up through a hole in the lava. - Photo by Matthew Wailua Falls - Photo by Matthew Wild Chickens - I've heard that the hurricanes blew people's chickens everywhere so now there are wild chickens all over the island. You can take them home if you can catch them. - Photo by Matthew
A Photo of Us - A tourist offered to take our picture after Grandpa took theirs. Part of the Waimea Canyon - Photo by Matthew Kuilau Valley - Photo by Matthew Boat Tour - We took a boat tour and saw a lot of whales, some sea turtles, the Na Pali Coast, and we even went into a sea cave. The water was pretty rough, but we didn't get sea sick. - Photo by Matthew A Whale Just Came Up for Air - Photo by Matthew
There Goes a Whale Tail! - Photo by Matthew The Na Pali Coast - This coastline is so rugged that there are no roads along it and not even trails along most of it. - Photo by Matthew The Na Pali Coast - Photo by Matthew A Sea Cave - Photo by Matthew View from Inside a Sea Cave - Photo by Matthew
Rough Water - Photo by Matthew The Na Pali Coast - Photo by Matthew Helicopter Tour - 'The Thrill Of A Lifetime!' This was the highlight of the whole trip! After much research, we selected Inter-Island Helicopters to be our tour guides. Everyone is guaranteed a window seat, and they fly with the doors off so you can get glare-free photos! Awesome! Grandpa and Grandma decided they would wait for us on the ground, but we took lots of pictures and videos to share. For more info, check out Inter-Island's web site: http://www.hawaiian.net/~interisland/ - Photo by the helicopter pilot Farmland - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew Part of the Waimea Canyon - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew
Scared of Heights? - This photo shows what it's like to fly in a helicopter with the doors off. It is awesome...unless you're afraid of heights...in which case there is a baggy for you...they highly recommend not throwing up over the side...I guess it shoots right back into the helicopter or something... - Photo by Matthew Part of the Waimea Canyon - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew Part of the Waimea Canyon - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew The Na Pali Coast - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew The Na Pali Coast - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew
A Small Valley of the Na Pali Coast - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew The Na Pali Coast - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew 360 Degree Double Rainbow - The weather on this island is different everywhere. On our helicopter tour it was raining part of the time and sunny part of the time. Because we were looking from above, this rainbow made a complete circle underneath the helicopter. It was a double rainbow too! Awesome! - Photo by Matthew Our Resort from a Distance - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew Landing at a Remote Waterfall - We had originally reserved a one hour tour (145 each), but the company called us the day of the tour and asked us if we would like the two hour 'Waterfall Adventure Tour' for only 150 dollars each. The waterfall tour is normally 225 dollars each, so we happily accepted the offer. This tour included landing at a remote waterfall for a delicious lunch and optional swim. - Photo by Matthew

And we flew down inside the crater! - Photo by Matthew
Wai'ale'ale Crater - The wettest spot on earth. There are lots of waterfalls and streams running everywhere here. - Photo by Matthew Jurassic Park Falls (Manawai'opuna Falls) - Have you seen these falls on a movie before? I haven't. - View from helicopter - Photo by Matthew The End of Our Exciting Helicopter Adventure - Photo by Matthew Grandpa Walking to the Queen's Bath - Photo by Matthew The Queen's Bath - One of those little known gems on the north shore. The Queen's Bath is actually a natural pool the size of several swimming pools carved into the lava with an inlet from the ocean for fresh sea water to flow through. I've read that when the tide is right, the Queen's Bath is a marvelous pool to swim in. - Photo by Matthew
Small Waterfall - This is where you can rinse off the salt water if you swim in the Queen's Bath. - Photo by Matthew Ninini Lighthouse - Photo by Matthew Waves at the Ninini Lighthouse - Photo by Matthew Snorkeling at Lydgate State Park - This park has a boulder enclosed pond that lets the fish in but blocks the ocean's force. - Photo by Matthew Tropical Fish - The water was rough and churning up the sand, so none of our underwater pictures turned out too well. - Photo by Matthew
Flowers called Birds of Paradise - Photo by Matthew Flowers - Photo by Matthew Awesome Sunrise - God blessed us with this beautiful sunrise on the last day of our trip. It was awesome! - Photo by Christina
